The Colour Box

This page is all about Backgrounds used on WebPages, the use of colours and textures can make your WebPages stand out, and transform a dull page into something a little kinder on the eye.

Try out this colour picker, use the box to change this page's background colour: = click the set button!!

This is a little program that you will find in Joe Barta's Tutorial, its a type of colour picker program used for viewing and setting background colours for web pages, all you need to do is alter the numbers and letters in the box, press the set button, to see the effects this has on the background colour. [You must use the numbers 0-9 and the letters A,B,C,D,E and F] so type in any of those six letters or numbers or a combination of the two, press the set button and see what you get ?. These numbers and letters are used to set the background colours of most web pages, or you could use the actual colour picker program from Joes Tutorial pages or another of your choice. Joes HTML Tutorial

  1. Try = FF0000 = What a nasty colour? too bright for me.
  2. Try = F7FF21 = That's better!
  3. Try = 8FFF21 ="Try that" !
  4. Try = FF80FF = Nice !!!
  5. Try = 21A9FF = ..................

By the way if you haven't done so already try the start letters. = [BBBBBB]....

As well as plain colour backgrounds for your web pages, you may like to try patterned backgrounds, your web editor will have a command to add these to your page, (in First Page 2000 it is the second icon on the standard toolbar called (Document Body) this uses a saved background image, tiled as the whole page background, plus gives you the choice to set font colours style etc.

There are some background images free on my Free Backgrounds Page. .

If these are not what you are looking for, go to Boogie Jacks website he has a free background graphics program which mixes and matches all sorts of colours and textures, you will defiantly find your ideal choice there.
